What’s new with MemSQL?

- System Metrics: Cluster visibility to ensure continuous uptime and optimal performance

What function does multicloud serve in MemSQL Cloud?
MemSQL Cloud provides a true multicloud experience to our customers. With multicloud support, customers can avoid cloud provider lock-in, reduce risks associated with outages and take advantage of the best services offered by each vendor.
How can customers move data to MemSQL Cloud? What if they aren’t using MemSQL?
MemSQL Cloud supports many different migration strategies. For example, you can ingest streaming data from Kafka, load data from S3, leverage open standards such as ODBC or JDBC, or replicate data from existing MemSQL clusters. The choice is yours.
What workloads are ideal for MemSQL Cloud?

Why should I use MemSQL versus a competitor?
MemSQL has better performance than the competition, especially for real-time workloads. It is ideal for customers that are looking for fast ingest, fast query or high concurrency from a data warehouse. When a customer is looking for all three features, MemSQL is hands down the best choice.
What makes real-time analytics different from offline analytics for cloud data warehouses?
It is all about time to insight. Batch systems assume you only care about the speed to access the data once it is in the data warehouse. The problem is that people want to know the answer to their question as soon as the information is available. So customers care about the time to insight, which is from the time the data is born to the time it can be served as an answer. This includes the time to collect it, the time to ingest it and the time to query it. A real-time analytics system has to be fast at all of these mechanisms or it cannot achieve real-time speeds.
When will MemSQL Cloud be available?
Now! Currently available for customers looking to host clusters on AWS or Azure, and will be available for Google Cloud Platform in the future.
